7 Reasons to Teach Your Child Loving Kindness Meditation
When we cultivate a loving and peaceful state of being, we open ourselves up to limitless possibilities. We become more compassionate and understanding, and our relationships with others improve. We also find it easier to let go of negativity and connect with our true nature.
The Early Years Learning Framework emphasises the importance of providing opportunities for children to develop a sense of belonging, being and becoming. Loving kindness meditation is a perfect way to help children feel connected to others and promote a sense of wellbeing.
Loving kindness is a quality that we all possess, but sometimes it can be difficult to access. Like any other muscle, the more we use it, the stronger it becomes. Practicing loving kindness meditation is one way to develop this important capacity. If you would like to guide someone through a loving kindness meditation I have provided a free downloadable/printable script for you to use.
